better-scale

better-scale is a small personal tool that records weigh-ins from the owner’s own Bluetooth smart scale. When the owner steps on the scale, a small device in their home forwards the reading to a private web service. The service calculates body-composition figures, adds a row to the owner’s own Google Sheet, emails the owner a confirmation, and writes the weight and body-fat measurements to the owner’s Google Health account using the Google Health API.

Who it is for

This is a single-user project. It is not offered to the public, has no sign-up, and does not collect data from visitors to this website. This site exists to describe the project and to publish its policies.
